![]() ![]() I run the mail server, so I know it's not getting put into a trash/spam folder or rejected - it's just never getting sent! Qustodio bypass software#This software is absolutely horrible! You have to create an account on their website, which is standard fare, but I am logging in with the password that I know I set for this site and used previously, but now it doesn't work! When I use their password reset, it never sends the reset email message. Overall, it's a great program with some wonderful features that are not offered on any other parental control program. The good news is, if you are paying attention to the reports Qustodio sends, it will alert you to the fact that there is no activity being reported from the device anymore, and indicate you may need to check their device. Qustodio bypass how to#The problem comes in if your child figures out how to do a 'hard reset" of the device, such as holding in the power button for 30 seconds to reset, or something to that affect. Qustodio does a good job of blocking children from device settings and controls, so that is not an issue. Although very difficult, it is able to be done, by doing a factory reset of the device. The "lock device" option, that is supposed to lock the child out of the device at a given time, does not always work.īe aware that children may attempt to thwart Qustodio, and skirt around it's safeguards. This can be problematic, as some apps offer a gateway to the internet within the app itself, which is not monitored.ģ. I get a report of everything my kids do on the web, but the only information I get about app usage, is that they did indeed use an app. This is one area that Microsoft's Family Safety has covered well, and Qustodio would serve their customers better to adopt something similar.Ģ. As we all know, there are tons of websites out there that have a mix of appropriate and inappropriate content, so the inability to allow or block individual URLS is the biggest flaw in this program. You must either block an entire domain or allow an entire domain. There is no way to set the program to block YouTube, yet put in an exception or allowance for certain channels, or web addresses within the YouTube domain. For example, I did not want my children to have access to YouTube in general, but wanted to allow them to watch their math instructional videos, which are also on YouTube. This is a HUGE shortcoming in my opinion, especially for those who home school. There is no option to block or allow individual websites. There are a few things I think could be improved:ġ. In using the upgraded Qustodio subscription for several months now, I can say that the features that are included are fantastic, very user friendly, and not only protect kids online, but keep parents well informed of their activities, and give them the ability to control the level of access the child has. Often they know more than their parents in this regard. Kids are very computer/electronic savvy compared to a couple generations ago. It really does what it says it will, with a few shortcomings. This program is one of the best that is out there. ![]()
